Field Trip: Peel Forest

Meet at: The Green Man Café, at 9.30am, Peel Forest, for coffee and morning tea.
Afterwards we’ll travel to the Mt Peel Church and lilies.
Attractions: Have you always wanted to see the spectacular Himalayan Lilies in flower?
Well now’s your chance. We’re going to visit Peel Forest, the Mt Peel Church and Cemetery, plus the Himalayan Lilies at Mt. Peel Station.
Lunch will be back at the Te Wanahu Flat picnic area, in Peel Forest village. There are 3 easy walks here, plus harder walks to the waterfall. Heather & Al will help you choose which walk will suit you best. You’ll see rimu, kahikatea and ferns. There are many birds in the Peel Forests. There will also be an opportunity to see the big Totara tree, on the 15 minute Big Tree walk.
