Oamaru Coastal Adventure 2 – 4 October 2020
Attractions: The coastline between Oamaru & Dunedin is one of the most unique and beautiful coastlines New Zealand has to offer. There is a variety of nesting sea birds, including spotted
shags, gulls and terns, probably spoonbills, perhaps blue and yellow-eyed penguins, as well as adult seals and young. There are beaches which you probably didn’t know about, with amazing
concretion rocks (more interesting than Moeraki) and fascinating geological formations, together with a variety of seaweeds. There are many opportunities to take outstanding rocky seascapes.
Visit a lagoon with a variety of ducks, nesting swans, shags and possibly a white heron. There are often hundreds of swans, ducks and pied stilts visiting the lagoon.
