This was my first trip with this group and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Everyone made me feel most welcome. Thanks for that.
Before I arrived at the Lodge on Friday I went for a quick look around the walk at Greyneys Shelter. It was quite dry but I did manage to find a few fungi there.
After dinner on Friday night a few of us went back to Mount White bridge hoping to do some astro however the cloud was not on our side.
On Saturday we split up and headed our separate ways. Some went as far as Arnold River Dam walk in search of the “blues”. Our group went as far as Lake Brunner and did the Moana loop track.
Saturday night turned out to be the biggest bonus of the weekend with the Aurora turning on the most spectacular display! This was truly a mesmerising night.
