2 July 2022

The weather played an important part in the astrophotography workshop this July. We couldn’t go with the original plan to go to Craigieburn, but the Kaituna Quarry proved an excellent substitute, and the weather was perfect for winter night photography. We started at James and Andrea’s home with James and Gina sharing their knowledge of astrophotography in a very clear way, which gave us the information we needed to try taking images of the night sky. After a quick and tasty dinner, we made our way out to Kaituna. A short walk brought us to the quarry, where we began taking images with the help of James and Gina. We all really enjoyed the workshop, learned a lot, and will be hopefully trying again soon.  Thanks to all involved for a great workshop.
