Field trip – River Walk in Avonside – 24th April 2019

On the 24th April a small group gathered to walk in the vicinity of the Avon River near River Rd and through the Holy Trinity Church grounds before having coffee.
We had a lovely ramble and were lucky with the weather – along River Rd all that was left were open fields where once there were many houses.
Back through the graveyard of Holy Trinity Church and then down through streets of original cottages. The forlorn remains of a once grand house on Fitzgerald Ave was sad to see.
