Saturday 21 September
Five members got up before dawn to get amongst the vast array of early spring flowers in Nadine’s garden.
We had begun photographing in the soft morning light, and then the sun rose just before 6.30am and many of the blooms were bathed in a lovely warm light. Plants and flowers were covered in morning dew and this made the plants even more special.
I especially enjoyed photographing the Pulsatilla, Fritillaria, and Clematis, but there were also Magnolia, Michaelia, Boronia, Ranuncula, Iris, Anemone and Kaka Beak.
Nadine very kindly gave us a handout of different ways to take macro images, and how to think about why you’re taking a particular image and what you want it to convey.
Thank you so much Nadine for allowing us into your little paradise – we loved it.
