On Sunday morning 2 April, Margaret Salisbury gave the NPSNZ a two hour presentation on her Black and White Photography online using our Google Meet. Her presentation included land and sea scapes, animals, and infrared images. Her monkey and Orangutang images were great to see

I thought Margaret was very good at showing how moving around a subject can really create quite different images but also if presented as a set can tell a great story of the subject. This was will illustrated by a set of infrared Willow Tree images. I also took away the importance of images meaning some thing to the photographer. She showed a few images that were not technically great but had great meaning to her. Perhaps something for us to all think about while we are reviewing our images.
With daylight saving some of the timings were off but we managed to get Margaret set up and presenting about 15 minutes late. We had about 25 members attend.

Thank you Margaret for a great presentation and to our members who were able to attend.

Keep a look out for further Black and White workshops throughout he read of this year.
