I was raised in rural Herefordshire and spent years in Scotland studying Medicine, enjoying nature and the outdoors before immigrating to New Zealand in 1978.
Near retirement I became seriously interested in photography, first as an inspiration for painting and then as a main pursuit joining the Manukau Photographic Society in 2006, and then the Marlborough Camera Club where I served on the Committee.
I was Convenor for the PSNZ National Convention in Blenheim in 2014.
I enjoy nature, macro photography, creative and abstract themes, architecture and monochrome and experimenting in the digital and traditional darkroom.
I broadened my visual art skills at Wellington’s Learning Connexion obtaining an Advanced Diploma in Art and Creativity in 2012.
I was awarded the FPSNZ in 2017 and ANPSNZ in 2019.
I feel very privileged to be invited to join the Honours Board.
