Field-trip: Christchurch City Walk
Date: 5th December 2018
Leader: Liz
Trip Report: Diana
Liz led eight members on a delightful walk in Victoria Square, across the Avon and into wild abandoned places on Wednesday 5th Dec.
The delicate lace on the statue of Queen Victoria was photographed and the herding of a family of Paradise duck, by the drake, in the Bowker fountain was enjoyed. I noted the flowers on the ledges. We walked among the wild flowers on St Lukes Church site and the lovely gap filler park on Madras St.
We noted the building of the Convention Centre and enjoyed coffee in New Regent St after which several members visited the new library.
Our instruction was to bring a lens we don’t usually use and as I use all of mine, I used a filter I don’t usually use on my new Canon 77D.
Thank you Liz for a delightful morning.
