Gondwana and Pinetum – Christchurch Botanic Gardens – Wednesday 27th June 2018

Trip Guide: Liz

Trip Report: Jane

Several members met to photograph both the Gondwana and Pinetum areas of the Botanic Gardens, but little did we know that we would find so much material to interest us just in Gondwana, which is aptly named due to the prehistoric nature of the trees and other plants. We were most taken with new green buds, hose in hose pine cones, seed heads and growth patterns. We shall explore the Pinetum another time.

Thank you Liz for showing us a new section of the Gardens we didn’t know existed.
