Wow what a beautiful morning on Saturday 5th September, sunshine and not a breath of wind. Perfect conditions for a group of 5 of us to enjoy photographing the birdlife on the lakes and river at The Groynes. Some of the variety we found to photograph included the Black Billed Gull, NZ Scaup, Shoveler Duck, Mallard Duck, Paradise Duck, Pukeko, Coot and Canada Geese. An enjoyable lunch sitting in the sunshine at the picnic area watching the wildlife on the river.
