Field trip to Lyttelton – 23 Feb 2019
Trip Leader: Jillian W.
Trip Report: Judy A.
Given that the weather forecast was a bit dubious, we were lucky that the rain held off enough for us to explore.
We walked straight up to the Timeball to have a look at the restoration. The tower itself is back to normal but the little building beside it has not been restored.
A sad note was the graffiti sprayed on the stone work and the new sign.
We then ambled back down to the well patronised market where we took in the stalls and some interesting sights !!!
Some then went to the historical cottage further along the street – I had to leave prior to this, but am sure everyone would have had a coffee – it was raining intermittently by then.
Thanks Jillian – a lovely ramble !!!
