On the 29th December 2021 a group of intrepid photographers braved the foggy, foggy dew to hunt for little green beetles near Lake Lyndon. At first the beetles hid in the manuka, once one was spotted, they were everywhere, crawling over each other, and waving their legs around. Much to the delight of one and all the sun came out, there were oohs and aahs as the beetles crawled to the top of the branches and flew.
