Pop up Field trip to Moon River Flower Farm

Many thanks to Caro Collins for arranging a visit to the flower farm in the Red Zone. It was great to see so many club members, with even two from Ashburton. The gold finches feeding on seed heads quickly vanished. Many of the flowers were still flourishing with clouds of cosmos attracting bees and butterflies. Dahlia flaunting natures amazing contrasts of colour. Plus many older varieties of flowers I hadn’t seen for ages and clever use of netting to keep them upright made for an interesting visit. A friendly cuppa at a local cafe finished the morning.
