After a final weather check, 7 intrepid NPSNZ members met at the New Brighton Pier bright and early for sunrise (well, quite dark really). Thankfully it was a warm morning which helped offset the strong breeze. We took photos on the pier, under the pier, of the pier, around the pier. While there was not much colour in the sky for us, the strong breeze meant the clouds were moving quickly plus the incoming tide led to some great long exposure images. Afterwards, we had a lovely catch-up while warming up in a nearby cafe.
