NPSNZ Field-Trip: Springtime in the Christchurch Botanic Gardens – 25th Sept 2019
Trip Leader: Maureen
Trip Report: Pol
Seven of us joined Maureen for this morning in the Christchurch Botanic Gardens. So well timed, as it was warm and sunny to begin with, turning later in the morning to a bright overcast as high cloud accumulated. Also, well timed for the season, as many spring flowers were at their peak. The tulips were magnificent, nicely iced with photogenic water droplets. I was trying out a new cell phone camera, which I used for all the shots shown here. As usual, we finished with coffee in the Ilex café; it is worth going just for the coffee! So, thanks again to Maureen, who knows the gardens so well, for showing us the prime areas to target at this time of year.
