Wild Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is a small country supporting a range of climatic zones and rich diversity of wild life.
All images were taken in the animal’s natural habitat including the low light and dense vegetation of the rainforest, to the intense sun light of the open and arid eastern plains.
This set of images aims to show that diversity, and presented its own challenges with technique as situations and opportunities to show animal behaviour presented variably, and changed quickly and unpredictably.
Examples include the momentary appearance of a Golden Jackal on the hunt, the gentle touching of the elephants trunks and thumping of feet, the landing of the Crested Hawk Eagle with its prey and the fleeting sight of the Swallow tail butterfly as it landed and spread its wings in the dark of the rainforest.
