Christchurch Botanic Gardens Field-Trip
Wednesday 20th March 2019
Trip Leader: Liz C
Report by: Kevin D
Eight keen NPS members met at the Kiosk in the gardens at 9.30am.
The weather was beautiful. Liz gave us a bit of a rundown on where to go and what to see and off we went. We explored the water gardens, walked through the native garden and the rock garden before going off on our own to photograph the dahlias, perennial borders or hot houses.
We finished the morning with a very enjoyable, relaxing coffee and bites at the Ilex Café in the gardens.
On a fine calm morning there is probably no better place to be in Christchurch. We were all very aware that only a few hundred meters away was a very different world happening.
Thank you Liz.
