We have recently been recommended that diesel vehicles should have exhaust spark arrestors fitted when driving on DOC land or when doing any off-road driving. Small hot carbon particles from the exhaust can cause fires. Spark arrestors are not particularly expensive.

While it is not a mandatory club policy to have these fitted while on club field trips it is currently highly recommended and we know that DOC and some other land owners require it.
