Obituary – Doug Johns
It is with great sadness that we farewell Doug Johns. Doug (along with his wife Anne) have been members of NPSNZ for many years. Doug was a lovely gentle soul, who only ever had kind things to say and was very generous. While he hasn’t participated a lot in recent years, he used to join in field trips and I had the pleasure of travelling to Nepal on a photography expedition with both Doug and Anne in 1992. He was very involved with Rotary and the St John Ambulance, and was community minded. He and Anne had several rotary students living with them over the years. They enjoyed travelling overseas and catching up with their rotary families.
Our thoughts are with Anne and the family, who will miss him enormously.
