Trip Report

Midweek trip to the Botanic Gardens Greenhouses

A group of 7 set off to see what we could find to photograph in the greenhouses.  We appreciated the staff opening up for us for 45 minutes before the public were able to come in. It gave us some quiet time to use our cameras and tripods without getting in the way of the families who started to arrive in numbers around 10 30, in search of gnomes, a great activity the garden’s staff had designed to get children interested in the plants on display. There are always great opportunities for macro images no matter what time of year, and the flowers and foliage change constantly. We started in the Cunningham House, moving to Foweraker as that got busier. By 11 am it was time to adjourn to the café for coffee and a chat . A very enjoyable morning.
