Field-trip to Riccarton Bush, Christchurch, NZ – 17th Oct 2018
Field-trip leader: Jane
Trip report by Jane
On a grey, drizzly morning, 9 members met at Riccarton Bush and proceeded into the bush where, surprisingly , it was very dry and not offering us the promised rich greens and browns. We did however find some interesting roots and new green shoots.
I set a few wee challenges to get the brain cells churning. They were; leading lines, selective focus, and fresh pops of green. I tried to do all of this with my lensbaby – without much success.
There was more of interest outside the fences in the gardens around the homestead, but the morning was ending, and getting wetter, so we adjourned for a mandatory coffee.
