The Iris Garden at Motukarara with Diana Stewart
Trip Report by Trish Brown.
Saturday the 7th November dawned with almost no wind and quite warm.
Eighteen members made their way out to Motukarara at 10am and spent the rest of the morning wandering around the manicured lawns and ponds full of fish and Water Lilies, stopping to chat here and there.
Comments such as, who would ever put those two colours together, was often heard, as we photographed the lovely Irises in raised borders.
About noon we found our way to the house and garden where we were treated to a lovely light scone with all the trimmings and one of the nicest pots of tea I’ve ever drunk.
Some left and others stayed to enjoy it all. Thanks to Diana for organising a very pleasant morning.
