Six members and three potential new members turned out by the Pleasant Point Yacht Club in New Brighton to watch the sun set over the estuary on Sunday 13 April.
Fortuitously in addition, we were able to view the full moon rising in the east over the sea. Black swans, herons and kingfishers provided added interest.
Although the sky was clear, with the requisite amount of high cloud, there was a smoky haze over the city, which gave a brownish cast to the colourful sky.
Thanks to Caro for organizing. This would be a great spot to return to on multiple occasions.
