Sunrise at the Pier - 1st March - Caro Collins
Attractions: Matariki celebrates the first rising of the Pleiades star cluster and also this year low tide is at sunrise (8.12 am)., so there is an opportunity for great sunrise photos of the boulders at a respectable hour and maybe some night photography to capture the stars.
Attractions: Mid-winter Christmas. This is one of those field trips that is not to be missed. Fabulous frosty landscapes – icy streams – keas – waterfalls – Lakes Sarah & Pearson – Mt White Station – Bushy Stream – Andrews Stream – Castle Hill – Arthurs Pass -creative opportunities. Frost, snow, ice, fog, sunrises and fungi are possible but not guaranteed.
